ABOUT BCM (BAHADUR CHAND MUNJAL) FOUNDATION
The Bahadur Chand Munjal Charitable Trust was established in 1970 by the visionary entrepreneurs and philanthropists—Mahatma Satyanand Munjal, Shri Brij Mohan Lall Munjal, Shri O.P. Munjal, and Shri Vijay Munjal—sons of the late Lala Bahadur Chand Munjal. The Foundation was founded with the core objective of providing liberal, scientific, and technical education through the establishment of schools and educational institutions, as well as awarding scholarships to deserving students.
The revered trustees of the BCM Foundation recognized the transformative power of education. They believed that intellectual, technical, and - most importantly - social education would help develop the essential traits required for national progress. For the trustees, education was the key to enlightenment and the primary means of securing a respectable standard of living for the Indian people.
In the year 2000, the trust was officially renamed the Bahadur Chand Munjal Foundation. Today, under the exceptional wisdom and leadership of its current trustees, the Foundation manages the following institutions:

ABOUT BCM SCHOOL, BASANT CITY
BCM Basant City, under the patronage of BCM Foundation, came into existence in April 2006 under the dynamic leadership of Mahatma Satyanand Ji Munjal. What began as a small sapling with about 199 students and 30 teachers has today grown into a flourishing institution with over 2200 students and more than 100 dedicated teachers.
The school strives for academic excellence while nurturing the individuality of every learner through modern and innovative teaching practices. With a mission to make quality education accessible and affordable to all sections of society, BCM Basant City caters to the diverse needs of its students while contributing towards building a progressive and responsible society.
Carrying forward a legacy of tradition, innovation, and academic excellence, the school remains committed to the holistic development of every child.
We take immense pride in sharing that our students have brought great laurels to the institution by achieving remarkable success in prestigious national-level competitions.
Team “Savers” from our school secured a place among the Top 125 teams across India in the prestigious School Youth Ideathon 2025, a national-level innovation and entrepreneurship competition. The team proudly represented the school at IIT Delhi.
BCM School, Basant City secured Second Position at the National Level in the National Design Contest organised by the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) in association with CBSE. The competition encouraged students to design innovative solutions under the theme “Everyday Problem Solving.”
Our students participated at SGFI National Yoga Championships held at various venues across India. We are also pleased to share that NCC will be introduced in the school under the guidance of the 3 Punjab Battalion NCC, Ludhiana, providing students with valuable opportunities to develop discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service to the nation.
